AREAS OF FOCUS

I provide counselling/therapy for children, teens, adults, and couples who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, ADHD, relationship concerns, women’s physical issues, and chronic pain.

I am honoured to hold a safe space for you while exploring ways to lessen symptomatic and cognitive concerns. As I hold a safe space, allow me to support you in connection to the mind, body, and spiritual self, for creation of new insights, inner self and strengths.

As a Certified Counsellor and Registered Social Worker, my areas of speciality are trauma, pain, PTSD, and ADHD. I have facilitated anxiety and depression groups to the community and agencies, worked with children in homes, pre-schools, daycares and school systems, worked with families in the and out of the home, worked with the Department of Defence for the Military.

Allow me to hold space for you to be curious, to explore self-compassion, and to find that courage within yourself.

The courage to be vulnerable is not about winning or losing, it’s about the courage to show up when you can’t predict or control the outcome.

I have two adult daughters, married to an amazing man, who is retired from the military, and I was adopted by my Yellow Lab and a Rabbit. I try to spend as much time as I can gardening, being outdoors, connecting to nature, and traveling. I have lived in different countries growing up, and as an adult, which is where the passion for travel has grown.

Someone who has lived through trauma, generational trauma, chronic pain, and diagnosed with a physical disability, I realize how important it is to connect the mind, body, and spirit. If one is out of balance, so too the rest will follow. Connecting to oneself through mindfulness, meditation, grounding, cooking, gardening, dancing, are some tools which have helped to discover parts of self which need attention.
