I provide counselling/therapy for children, teens, and adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, PTSD, ADHD, and burnout. So many of us have ways of coping that no longer work effectively or end up causing more challenges in our relationships and within ourselves. I provide support to help clients discover new insights and respond to barriers enhancing clarity, coping, and transformation in their journeys. Safety and authenticity are central in my practice with clients.

I also provide assessments to provide a picture in time of a person’s cognitive, social, emotional, and behavioural functioning and how a person’s challenges may be associated with specific difficulties that have far-reaching effects on their life. When individuals are faced with questions about how they or their children learn and process information, I work collaboratively to find clarity and a deeper sense of understanding of their world. So many of us struggle with remembering, staying focused, managing our emotions, comprehending others’ words, and learning both academically and in the real world, beyond the walls of a classroom or job, and finding the underlying influences that help us gain insight and self-knowledge. Evaluations help us determine the presence of a particular diagnosis such as a specific learning disorder, intellectual disability, ADHD, or emotional/behavioural disorders (e.g., Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Social Phobia, Major Depressive Disorder, etc.). Recommendations created from these evaluations provide personalized strategies that can support us or our loved ones navigate their world.

As a Registered Psychologist, my areas of specialty include Clinical, Counselling, and Educational Psychology. I also provide supervision to therapists and provisional psychologists.

Happiness lies not in finding what is missing, but in finding what is present.

In my personal life I enjoy working out, gardening, hanging out with our animals, and spending time with my family! I enjoy various sports like Muay Thai, golf, and tennis. In the winter, I’m often in a rink with my kids. In the summer, if I’m not in clinic, I’m usually watching the bees float from flower to flower or I’m digging in the garden. Using my body and mindfully being in nature give me a sense of ease and connection with self.
